Labor-Only Moves NE Florida: You Rent, We Load

The Labor-Only Model

Labor-only moves are when you handle the truck — typically rented from U-Haul, Penske, Budget, or driven cross-country by you — and H2H brings the trained crew + equipment for the heavy-lifting portion. Common scenarios: you’re self-driving cross-country and need a Northeast Florida crew to unload at destination; you’re moving within Jacksonville and have a rental truck reserved but don’t want to do the lifting yourself; you have a friend or family helper truck and need professional crew labor.

What H2H Brings to a Labor-Only Move

Trained crew (2–4 movers depending on home size), dollies + hand trucks, moving pads and shrink wrap, basic tool kit for furniture disassembly/reassembly. We don’t bring the truck. We don’t bring boxes (those are your responsibility on a labor-only move). We provide the heavy-lifting expertise + the equipment that turns a 12-hour DIY load into a 3-hour professional load.

Common Labor-Only Scenarios in NE Florida

Snowbird arrivals: you drove yourself from the Northeast in a U-Haul; H2H unloads at the Florida end. Local moves: you have a friend with a 16-foot rental truck; H2H loads and unloads professionally. Long-distance one-direction: you’re moving FROM Jacksonville to the Northeast, U-Haul rental; H2H does the local Florida loading. Storage unit moves: you’re emptying a storage unit; H2H provides crew to load your rental truck or final-destination vehicle.

Labor-Only Pricing + Hours

Labor-only moves are typically billed at a per-hour rate with a 2-hour minimum. Smaller homes (1-BR apartment) usually complete in 2–3 hours; larger homes (3–4 BR) run 4–6 hours. The exact quote depends on home size, stairs, and access. Call (904) 209-9277 to walk through your labor-only scenario.
